Arizona Scottish Gathering and Highland Games

Watch athletes throw a 75-pound pole for accuracy or toss a hay bail 30 feet in the air with a pitchfork. Visit the genealogy tent to trace your family roots and be entertained by traditional and modern Scottish tunes. Competitive highland dancing and pipe bands will be part of the festivities, as will historical re-enactments and vintage British cars.

Details: 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday, March 21; 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Sunday, March 22. Steele Indian School Park, 300 E.
